If this is an emergency
Call your local emergency number immediately — 911 in the United States, 999 in the United Kingdom, 112 across the EU, 995 in Singapore. Do not wait, and do not use this website to decide whether a situation is serious.
Heal Within Magazine publishes general health journalism. It is written carefully and reviewed, and it is still not a substitute for the judgement of a qualified professional who can examine you, read your history and take responsibility for your care.
1. No medical advice
Nothing on this site — articles, summaries, callouts, comparisons, commercial pages or replies to email — constitutes medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. It is general information for a general audience, and it cannot account for your age, medical history, medications, allergies, pregnancy, genetics or anything else that makes you a specific person.
2. No clinician–patient relationship
Reading this site, subscribing to the newsletter, or corresponding with us does not create a clinician–patient or any other professional relationship. We cannot and do not answer individual medical questions, and we will not attempt to. Please do not send us your test results or medical records.
3. Always ask before you change anything
Consult a physician, pharmacist, registered dietitian or other qualified professional before starting, stopping or changing any medication, supplement, diet or exercise programme — and particularly if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, over 65, managing a chronic condition, scheduled for surgery, or taking prescription medication. Never delay or disregard professional medical advice because of something you read here.
4. Supplements and regulatory status
Where we discuss dietary supplements: statements about them on this site have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or by any equivalent regulator. No product mentioned is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Supplements are regulated as food, not as medicine, in most jurisdictions — our guide to reading a supplement label explains what that means for you.
5. Results vary, and the evidence moves
Individual responses to any intervention differ enormously. Descriptions of what happened for someone else, including any testimonial that appears on a commercial page, are not typical results and are not a prediction of yours. Health evidence also changes: a page accurate on its review date may be superseded. Every article carries its publication and last-reviewed dates for exactly this reason.
6. Third-party content and links
We link to outside sources so you can check us. We do not control them and do not endorse everything they contain. Where we link to a commercial offer, the link is disclosed under our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure and the product's claims are the seller's, not ours.
7. Limitation
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Heal Within Media accepts no liability for any loss, injury or damage arising from reliance on information published here. Your use of this site is at your own risk, on the terms set out in our Terms of Use.
8. Mental health
If you are struggling, or having thoughts of harming yourself, please contact your local crisis line or emergency service. In the US, call or text 988. In the UK, call 111 or Samaritans on 116 123. This website is not a crisis resource.
9. Reporting a problem with something we published
If you believe an article is inaccurate or unsafe, tell us at corrections@healwithinmagazine.com. We take that seriously and our Editorial Policy explains what happens next.
