Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure
Full disclosure, in the first paragraph, as the FTC's endorsement guidance requires: Heal Within Magazine makes money from advertising and from affiliate commissions. Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may be paid a commission by the seller. You pay exactly the same price either way.
1. How this publication is funded
- Affiliate commissions — a percentage of a sale when a reader buys through a tracked link.
- Sponsored placements — a brand pays for a placement. Every one is labelled at the top of the page as sponsored or paid, in the same size type as the headline.
- Our own products — guides and resources published by us. We say so plainly when it is ours.
2. What we label, and how
Any page whose main purpose is to sell you something carries a clear disclosure above the headline, before you read anything else — not buried in a footer, not hidden behind "learn more", and not in grey 10-pixel type. Individual affiliate links inside editorial articles are disclosed at the top of that article. If you cannot tell whether a page is commercial, that is our failure and we want to hear about it: editor@healwithinmagazine.com.
3. What money does not buy
- It does not buy a recommendation. We are not paid for a positive verdict, and no advertiser sees an article before publication or has approval over it.
- It does not buy the removal of criticism. We will not delete an unfavourable line because a partner asked.
- It does not buy a fake review. We do not publish invented testimonials, invented before-and-after photos, or invented credentials — on any page, commercial or not.
4. Claims on commercial pages
Where a page promotes a third-party product, the claims about that product are the seller's. We do not independently verify a manufacturer's claims unless the page says we have. No product we link to is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and results described are not typical. Read our Medical Disclaimer before acting on anything you see here.
5. Programmes
We participate in affiliate programmes operated by third-party networks and merchants. Where a specific programme requires particular wording, that wording appears on the relevant page. We do not accept placements for products we would be embarrassed to have a reader buy.
Amazon Associates. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Heal Within Magazine is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date and time shown on Amazon and are subject to change; any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase applies.
5a. Books and third-party publications
Where we link to a book or other publication, we did not write it, we do not control its contents, and we do not adopt its claims as our own. A link is a pointer to something a reader may find useful — not an endorsement of every statement inside it. Our own position on any health question is whatever our articles say, with the sources shown.
6. Testimonials and endorsements
If a testimonial ever appears on this site, it will be from a real person who gave permission, and any material connection — payment, free product, affiliate relationship — will be disclosed next to it, per 16 CFR Part 255. Where a result is unusual, we say what a typical result is.
7. Your choice
You are never obliged to use our links. Searching for the product directly costs you nothing and pays us nothing, and that is a perfectly reasonable thing to do. Readers who use our links fund the writing, which we appreciate and will not pretend otherwise.
