Heal Within Magazine publishes practical writing about kitchens, cleaning and small home habits. It is general information, offered in good faith, for a general audience. This page sets out the limits of that — please read it before acting on anything here.

1. General information only

Everything on this site is general guidance. It is not professional advice of any kind, and it cannot take account of your particular home, appliances, surfaces, materials or circumstances. You are the person standing in the room; use your judgement.

2. We do not publish health or medical content

This is deliberate. We write about cleaning, cooking and household use. Nothing here is medical, dietary or health advice, nothing here should be swallowed on our say-so, and nothing here is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent anything. If you have a health question, ask a qualified professional — not a website about scrubbing pans. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

3. Test before you commit

Surfaces, fabrics and finishes vary enormously, and a method that is perfectly safe on one can damage another. Always test on a small hidden area first, follow the manufacturer's instructions for your appliances and materials, and stop if something looks wrong. We cannot be responsible for damage to property arising from methods described here.

4. Household safety

The rules that actually matter

  • Never mix cleaning products. Bleach with ammonia, bleach with acids, or any combination of products — the fumes can be genuinely dangerous, particularly in a small bathroom. One product at a time, rinse in between, and open a window.
  • Keep everything out of reach of children and pets, including the harmless-looking powders.
  • Wear gloves where a product tells you to, and follow the label rather than us.
  • Electrical appliances: unplug before cleaning, and never let water into a mechanism or an oven element.
  • Fire: never put water on burning oil. If a fire is anything more than a small contained pan you can safely smother, get out and call the fire service.

5. Results vary

What works beautifully in one kitchen may do very little in another. Descriptions of results here are what we would typically expect, not a promise, and any result described by a third party on a commercial page is theirs rather than ours.

6. Links to other sites and products

We link out to other publications and, on clearly labelled pages, to products. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content, claims, prices or policies. Where we link to a product we did not make it, we do not adopt its claims, and our advertising disclosure explains any commercial interest.

7. Accuracy

We date every article when it is published and again when it is reviewed, and we correct mistakes visibly — see our editorial policy. Things still change, and a page can go out of date between reviews.

8. Limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Heal Within Media accepts no liability for loss or damage arising from reliance on information published here. Your use of this site is on the terms set out in our Terms of Use.

9. Tell us if something here is wrong

If you think an article is inaccurate or unsafe, email corrections@healwithinmagazine.com and we will look at it properly.
